UNICEF Ambassador Maggie Cheung is among the world's most famous and loved movie stars. She has graced more than seventy-five films, including dramas, action movies and comedies. The best-known titles of her movies include As Tears Go By, Days of Being Wild, In the Mood for Love, and Chinese Box.

For her exceptional range and talent on the screen, Maggie Cheung has won many awards, including Best Actress at the 1992 Berlin Festival for Centre Stage, and the Palm D'Or Best Actress prize at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival.

Born in Hong Kong and raised partly in England, Maggie Cheung is now involved in a number of philanthropic efforts relating to China.

In her role as UNICEF Ambassador, Maggie Cheung gives expression to her passion for helping the most vulnerable children, like those affected by HIV and AIDS, migrant and left-behind children, and children with disabilities. In her work on behalf of UNICEF, Maggie Cheung raises awareness about and serves as a spokesperson for the establishment of a comprehensive child welfare framework in China.
